Thistledowne University is the primary university in Ibagli. It was founded in 1950. It is located in Loygre.
History
Thistledowne University was founded in 1950. Beginning in 1968, the university began full reciprocity with the University of the South Pacific, making Thistledowne the de facto thirteenth campus of the university system.
Governance
The ceremonial head of the university is the chancellor. The head of the university executive is the vice-chancellor, who heads the university council, which is comprised of heads of department and several extra members appointed by the vice-chancellor for the duration of his term. The current vice-chancellor is Sir Jonathan Franklin.
