- Supreme Court justice Sir Jeremy Cannon announces his immediate resignation from the court as he is appointed to the House of Commons by the Green Party.
- Green Party MP Loraine Vallee resigns from the House of Commons.
- Former Chief of the Defence Staff Field Marshal Sir William Benson (pictured) dies after suffering a heart attack.
- Buckingham Palace announces that the Countess of Wessex is expecting a second child in December.
- Ibagli is placed on Annex II of the European Union visa requirement legislation, allowing Ibaglians to travel to all European Union countries without previously acquiring a visa. Reciprocity is granted, allowing EU citizens to travel to Ibagli without a visa.
- Extra RIC protection is granted to the United Kingdom High Commission after protests and security incidents in London and Glasgow.
