- The Prime Minister nominates Robert Wu to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court left after the resignation of Sir Jeremy Cannon.
- An soldier from the 2nd Battalion Royal Ibaglian Regiment has been killed during fighting with the Taliban in Afghanistan. He is the fourth Ibaglian to die in combat since the beginning of the conflict.
- The Head of State of Samoa departs Ibagli after his state visit.
- His Highness Tupua Tamasese Tupuola Tufuga Efi (pictured), the Head of State of Samoa, arrives on a state visit to Ibagli. He will be in Ibagli until 9 August.
