The current Loyal Opposition is the Conservative Party, which is currently led by Alex Foster, who does not have a seat in the House of Commons. There are some benefits to being the Loyal Opposition. The Loyal Opposition is the party that gets to speak first after the government, and gets more time in question period than any other party. It also gets more funding for research and staff than other parties.
