1. Immediately call a meeting of the cabinet, and see if there is general consensus on a new temporary leader.
   1. If yes: Appoint that person caretaker P.M. until leadership convention.
   2. If no: If previous Prime Minister left instructions follow them. If not, poll cabinet to find a person with a majority of support from the cabinet. If no such person exists, appoint the person who appears strongest in the cabinet to be caretaker P.M.
2. If there are no surviving cabinet members, use own discretion to find a suitable candidate to lead the nation in what is more than likely a time of severe crisis.
