The Order of the Protectorate was an honour instituted during the Interregnum by Ibagli's scandal-laden dictatorial government, known as the Protectorate. Unlike the orders of Ibagli under the Queen, the order only had a single class, and was presented to only six1 key individuals, some of which refused the honour. Its purpose was to recognize the individuals who participated in the events leading up to the Interregnum. Presumably, it would have grown in size, had the Protectorate continued to govern Ibagli. It is no longer awarded by the Chancery of Honours at Government House.
